Three Big Direct Sales Tips
I would like to offer three big direct sales tips to anyone thinking about joining a direct sales organization. A direct sales organization is the fastest way of starting a home business.
I have worked with several direct sales organizations over the years to help ends meet. I never thought I would make a full time job of direct sales, but over the years, the money I have earned in direct sales has given me the ability to give my family the extras like vacations, household appliances, redecorating our home, and other things that I would not have been able to afford with my job alone.
I have earned from $600.00 to $2400.00 a month extra income for my family, working part-time. This may not seem like a lot of money, but it has made a big difference to my family. Once when my employer cut my hours from 40 hours a week to 25 hours a week, I increased my direct sales hours from 10 hours to 15 hours and made up the income I lost. I am not saying give up your current job, but it is good to give yourself a raise when you want it or need it. In addition, a direct sales career is something you can move into fulltime if you want. Now with the Internet there is another venue to sell your products and services, and the opportunity to reach more customers. My direct sales business has aloud me to choose the level of income I want. To accomplish this I had to work these three direct sales tips.
Believe in yourself. The most important requirement for any business as well as with direct sales is to believe in you. One must believe that one can learn, and do the things one needs to do to achieve direct sales success. It is important for one’s family and friends to have faith in you it, but if you do not believe that you can do it, then you will fail.
Believe in the value of what you sell. To have confidence in direct sales one must believe in the value of one’s product or service. If one does not convey to a prospect that one knows and appreciates the value of one’s product, how can one expect the prospect to see its value? One just cannot sell something, he or she does not believe in it. So use your product, know if it works, experience its benefits, and then you will be able to speak boldly about its value.
Find out what motivates you. People who work in direct sales are highly motivated. They really want success. Everyone is motivated by something. There are as many motivations as there are individuals. What motivates you? What will keep you going in direct sales when things get slow or you have heard no to your product or service more time than you can stand? Look at the list below, what motivates you. If you cannot find anything on the list that motivates you, make you own list.
• Money: It is not to accumulate and count money that motivates an individual. It is the value in what it will buy us in tangible and intangible, like independence or personal power.
• To prove we can: We need to convince others and ourselves of our abilities.
• To lead and be in charge: Some individuals can not wait to lead. They thrive on it.
• Recognition: We want to know we are appreciated, respected, and valued. Recognition is a powerful driving factor and human need.
• The love of the challenge or the game: The tough and seemingly impossible is a turn-on for some people.
• Altruism or reasons beyond self: To put a child through college, to help an aging parent or grandparent, to have a sense of purpose: helping others can be the most sustaining motivator of all.
• To feel a sense of belonging: The desire to belong to a group with others, who share the same interests, needs, or passion is part of our pack mentality.
• Personal growth or fulfillment: A new adventure and feeling that we are alive, growing, and participating in the game of life recharge us, stimulates our thinking, and helps us feel young no matter what our age.
These direct sales tips are very important to direct sales success. Believing in yourself, believing in your product and staying motivated are the foundation you must build on. Once you have incorporated these qualities into your personality, you can go on to the science of direct sales.
